Adele’s health secret is all down to the sugar in her tea

Following record success with 21 and emergency surgery on her vocal chords, Adele’s voice now sounds healthier than ever. And you know what? She looks it, too.

Making her first public appearance since she casually won 10 Grammys and an Oscar, Adele appears glowing, radiant and happy. Is it all down to a superstar moisturising regime?

Well, before you start Googling, it seems that a big part of it is down to sugar!

“I used to drink ten cups a day with two sugars in each so I was on 20 sugars a day,” says Adele. ““Now I don’t drink it and I have more energy than ever.”

Wow, 20 teaspoons of sugar a day is a lot! In fact, it’s more than triple the amount of 6 teaspoons that the World Health Organisation recommends. But, if anything, it shows that cutting out something as simple as sugar in your tea can make all the difference.

In a recent interview with Rolling StoneAdele revealed that the reason for getting healthy was to build stamina for her upcoming tour. Aside from cutting back on sugar, she has been exercising regularly (chasing pavements?) “to get in shape for myself, but not to be a size zero or anything like that.” And what better reason to get fit!

We should also applaud Adele for beating her addiction to cigarettes. She says, “I absolutely loved it, but it’s not that [expletive] cool when I’m dying from a smoking-related illness and my kid is, like, devastated”.

Go Adele! We love her for her realness, and we definitely want her around making music for some time to come. Now, BRB, we’re putting 25 on replay again…

How great does Adele look?!
