I Quit Sugar - Lime, Coconut + Poppy Seed Cake

When we say slow cooker, what do you think of?

If stews, soups and curries come to mind – think again!

Your humble slow cooker is super versatile, and you can cook everything from brekkie to dessert in there.

Here are three of our fave sweet treats you had no idea you could make in your slow cooker…

Creamy Vanilla Rice Puddings

We’ve put the IQS stamp on this traditional dessert by using coconut cream for flavour, and orange rind for a zesty kick. We’ve also added some naturally sweet cinnamon and crunchy pistachios to make it the perfect dessert (or even brekkie). Dig in!

Sweet Potato Brownies

These brownies tick all the boxes. Not only are they made with sweet potato puree (hello, veggie intake), but you can pop them in the slow cooker and forget about them, and, ah, they’re chocolate brownies, so what’s not to love? Tick, tick, tick!

Lime, Coconut + Poppy Seed Cake

You’ll be going back for seconds after whipping up this slow-cooked gluten-free cake. It’s light and fluffy with poppy seeds for extra fibre and iron and when topped with our tasty DIY coconut butter and zesty lime – we promise, the whole dinner party will love this one!
