Kate is a fully qualified Kinesiologist who runs Holistic by Nature in Canberra. She trained at The Australian College of Complementary Medicine (ACCM) in Melbourne. Kate’s passion is to educate and empower each client to understand their mind and emotions, their body, environment and spirit and how these aspects are all connected.

Tell us about what you do and why?

I’m the founder of Holistic by Nature, published author, kinesiologist and complementary medicine practitioner. I work with people of all ages, from all backgrounds and through all aspects of life. Kinesiology is truly holistic; I’m able to work with clients from physical, physiological, emotional, mental and energetic levels. My personal ‘why’ that inspires and drives me everyday in my work is to bring together Eastern and Western science and healing traditions, ancient and modern knowledge, tools and techniques to connect each person to their innate healing abilities. You don’t have to do it alone; you can be your own healer.

Why are you such a firm believer in the IQS philosophy?

I have a personal history when it comes to sugar addiction. I understand just how much sugar can take hold of your body and mental state, how easy it is to turn to sugar in difficult times and just how much support you need to overcome the cravings and habitual behaviour. The I Quit Sugar philosophy supports the whole person and offers a community to be there with you along the way.

The IQS Team are coming for dinner. What are you cooking us?

If I’m honest with you – I wouldn’t be cooking, my partner would be! He’s a fantastic cook and together we have enjoyed MANY scrumptious IQS recipes. With a busy family and working life, there’s nothing better than putting on the slow cooker in the morning with some osso bucco, fresh vegetables from our local farmers markets, all thrown into the pot with herbs and spices. With visitors, dessert is a must so I would make my all time favourite I Quit Sugar treat: the Ferrero Rocher Slice. Yum!

Nourish and remain connected to your higher self (AKA your gut feeling, intuition, heart). It will guide you through challenges, align you with love and potential and enhance your ability to cultivate positive lifestyle choices.
