Diana Tencic is the co-founder of Body Be Well fitness and food coaching based in Melbourne. The company specialises in functional fitness and food coaching supported by monthly clean eating, sugar-free workshops. Diana has over 15 years experience in all aspects of the fitness industry from personal and group training to club owner and spin instructor.

Tell us about what you do and why?

Food and fitness is my life – and in that order too. We place so much emphasis on training our bodies while forgetting the essential fuels our bodies require. For me, it’s the combination and balance of these two that are the key to achieving a leaner, stronger, fitter you.

Over 17 years experience in health and fitness have taught me the essential role food plays in balancing health and fitness. Food coaching has allowed me to combine my passions for food, fitness, teaching and helping people realise goals they may never have imagined for themselves. I love establishing clear health, fitness and food goals that work for my clients and creating steps to achieve those goals. I especially love watching mums find their fitness groove, running our workshops and of course, creating recipes to share with my clients.

Why are you such a firm believer in the IQS philosophy?

The philosophy resonates on so many levels. For me, it’s all about JERFing – falling in love with your kitchen and cooking from scratch, using simple wholesome ingredients, eliminating processed foods and listening to your body.

The IQS Team are coming for dinner. What are you cooking us?

I do love the Mexican chimichurri bowl from the IQS program so that would be on the menu, plus my version of the chocolate ganache cake with a rice puff base. I would also include my very IQS-friendly vegan carrot and avocado dip, with meal-in-a-biscuit crackers!

Tell us your number one health tip in under 25 words.

We have created a life of convenience, (hey, Uber!) that we are now moving less. Aim to move at least 15 minutes a day, be it walking to the local store, a mini workout, or a walk down the street.
