Tell us about what you do and why?
I’m a Cardiac Physiologist which involves using a variety of technical equipment to monitor, record, measure and analyse the way patients’ hearts are working to help doctors diagnose and treat patients with heart disease. I specialize in electrophysiology which is a branch of cardiology that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. I love working in the field of Cardiology because it brings me great joy to help cure people. I’ve always had the desire to be a lifelong learner and this industry requires you to keep up with the pace of innovation in technology.
Why are you such a firm believer in the IQS philosophy?
I have always been interested in health and fitness but the IQS philosophy rings true to me especially in my job where I see countless sick people with heart disease, type II diabetes, hypertension etc – which can all be attributed to the Western diet and inflammation. The prevalence of sugar in our food supply is deeply concerning as a lot of our food simply isn’t healthy anymore. It’s important to teach people what foods are nutritious and help them to make better food choices.
