Marieke Rodenstein is a holistic dietitian and nutritionist, passionate about spreading the JERF message.

Tell us about what you do and why?

As a holistic dietitian I am passionate about educating and helping others achieve and maintain better health and ultimately to help us leave a legacy of better health for future generations.

I have particular interest and expertise in gut health, maternal, infant and child nutrition, learning and behavioural issues, autism, autoimmune issues and cancer.

Why are you such a firm believer in the IQS philosophy?

In my experience, both personally and professionally, replacing sugar and processed foods in the diet with real food has the single most profound and positive long-term effect on a person’s health.

The IQS Team are coming for dinner. What are you cooking us?

I would start by serving up a delicious chicken liver pâté (a superfood extraordinaire) with veggie sticks followed by something slow-cooked like lamb shanks. It’s easy to prepare, so there is no need to spend a lot of time in the kitchen once you all arrive! For dessert, a homemade sugar-free ice cream or Sarah’s delicious Raspberry Ripple – a personal favourite!

Tell us your number one health tip in under 25 words.

Making positive diet and lifestyle changes doesn’t have to be hard work. Keep it simple and don’t feel you need to do everything at once. Even if you make just one small change a week, that’s 52 changes in a year and that can be life-changing!
