Nicky Duffell is a nutritional therapist and health coach based just outside London in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire. After over 17 years in the corporate world, Nicky set up Nicky for Life to help clients transform their health and wellbeing.

Tell us about what you do and why?

I’m a registered nutritional therapist. I see clients on a 1:1 basis and I also do talks and workshops too. I’m really passionate about health and believe that you need to look after yourself first so that you can deal with whatever else life has to throw at you. It’s amazing how a few small changes can impact someone’s health and vitality. I take an integrative approach and work on both the body and the mind. I’ve found with my clients that you need to work on both aspects to change habits for life.

And, I have a special interest in mums. We tend to put ourselves at the bottom of the pile, so I often work with mums on helping them find themselves again and take control of their health so they can be the best mum they can be.

Why are you such a firm believer in the IQS philosophy?

The bottom line is sugar isn’t good for us. What I like about IQS is you don’t just give up sugar, you learn about proper nutrition (not what’s in the media) and cooking. If you want to build healthy habits for life this is a great place to start.

The IQS Team are coming for dinner. What are you cooking us?

You’d have to come for breakfast not dinner, it’s my favourite meal of the day. Spinach pancakes! Nice and nutritious, they taste better than they sound!

Learn how to manage stress. It has a profound impact on our health and our bodies. Do something every day to relax and unwind. Just breathe.
