Nine days is all it takes to get your health back on track. And the secret? Give up fructose, says the latest research.

In a study published by The Journal of the American Osteopathic Association, children struggling with obesity were told to cut out all sugar, especially fructose, from their diets. The result? Reduced glucose and insulin levels, decreased liver fat and reduced rate of sugar to fat conversion. Symptoms of metabolic syndrome including high blood pressure and cholesterol levels had dropped too!

And, all of this was observed just nine days after the dietary change.

This study adds to the ever-growing body of evidence that fructose consumption is linked to cardiovascular disease, obesity and type 2 diabetes –  what better reason to give up the sweet stuff?!
