Well, if anyone is a testament to how easy and accessible our I Quit Sugar: 8-Week Program recipes are, it’s Laura. The sales assistant, 33, has quit sugar while living in a campervan without a fully functional kitchen!

Safe to say that it was a success – Laura lost 12lbs (5.4kg) in four weeks, recalibrated her appetite and became one of the community’s most active members (check out her lovely IQS-dedicated Instagram).

I couldn’t break the vicious sugar cycle.

I have been aware for a long time that although I have a good, balanced diet, the amount of sugar I consumed was way too much. Being someone who opted for anything sweet, I couldn’t break the vicious cycle that sugar kept me in. I lacked energy, had sugar hangovers and at times felt ‘drunk’ after a sugar binge. That’s when I discovered Sarah Wilson and the 8-Week Program.

I asked myself: “Can I do this?!”

I was a little bit daunted as I wasn’t really sure what to expect, if I could afford the ingredients, whether I would like the meals, if I could even cook the meals living in an RV! Of course the ultimate question – could I actually leave sugar out of my daily life?

But… I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was!

Cooking a new meal each evening in my RV was quite a challenge! However, the Meal Plan was so easy to follow, and the shopping list and Sunday Cook-Up made sure I had everything I needed for the week ahead. I loved the pantry lists, too – I already had a lot of what was needed! Alternative ingredients were suggested (this is where the Forum is great!).

Speaking of the Forum, I LOVED the IQS community.

There are the experts online who provide support and guidance in various different areas, from personal trainers to psychologists and nutritionists. I could send direct messages if there was something I wanted to ask privately. I really felt like I belonged to a great online community. I even met up with other members on a couple occasions, which was lovely!

I feel like I am properly awake for the first time ever!

I have more energy, feel calmer and don’t experience such mood swings. I absolutely love the food freedom I now have – that I choose when I eat something sweet. My appetite is also unrecognisable! My tolerance to sugar is much lower, I am happy having the odd bit of dark chocolate instead of a cake.

I didn’t ever think it would be possible to not have sugar in my day to day life. This plan facilitated me being able to finally kick sugar to the curb. Food freedom is better than I ever imagined!
