SOUND FAMILIAR?

Sound familiar?

If three or more of these ring true, you're not alone — and you're also not stuck.

  • Your blood test came back with "pre-diabetes" and you didn't quite know what to do with that.
  • Your GP said "lose some weight, watch your sugar" and that was the whole appointment.
  • You've read 30 conflicting things online and feel more confused than before.
  • Diabetes runs in your family and you've been quietly worried for years.
  • You don't want to wait until you actually have type 2 to do something about it.

You don't need a medical degree. You need a plan that turns "watch your sugar" into something you can actually do this week.

THE SCIENCE

Here's what's actually going on.

Pre-diabetes means the signal-response system between blood sugar and insulin has lost efficiency. Your cells are becoming less responsive to insulin's message, so your pancreas works harder. Over years, the system wears out. That's how pre-diabetes becomes type 2.

The crucial point most people miss: this is reversible in the pre-diabetes window, and the evidence on how to reverse it is unusually strong.

The Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) — a randomised trial of over 3,000 adults with pre-diabetes — found that a structured lifestyle intervention reduced progression to type 2 diabetes by 58%, outperforming metformin (Knowler et al., NEJM, 2002). The Finnish Diabetes Prevention Study replicated the result, sustained over 7 years (Lindström et al., Lancet, 2006).

What both interventions had in common: a real-food dietary pattern, structured rather than vague, with ongoing support rather than one appointment. That's the pattern the 8-Week Program is built on. It is not a medical treatment.

If you're on insulin or any blood-sugar medication, please talk to your GP before starting — your dose may need adjustment as your blood sugar stabilises.

58% relative risk reduction in progression to type 2 diabetes — when lifestyle change is structured.

THE APPROACH

How the 8-Week Program supports you.

Weeks 1–2 · Stabilise

Cut blood-sugar spikes from added sugar and ultra-processed foods. Most members notice steadier energy by end of week 1.

Weeks 3–5 · Rebuild

Build meals around the foods that improve insulin sensitivity — vegetables, legumes, slow carbs, healthy fats, quality protein. The DPP and Finnish dietary pattern.

Weeks 6–8 · Lock in

Build the rhythm you can keep. The change has to last decades — it needs to be liveable.

Real food. Structured plan. The kind of change your doctor's been hoping you'd make.

REAL MEMBERS, REAL SYMPTOMS

What members have said.

My HbA1c was 6.4 — pre-diabetic. Six months after the program: 5.5. My GP asked what I'd done. I sent her the link.
Vera, 52, Adelaide · Started Jan 2026
My dad had type 2. I was heading the same way. The program wasn't a 'diabetic diet' — it was just real food. And it worked.
Linh, 47, London · Started Aug 2025
I was terrified of the diagnosis. The program gave me something to actually DO with the fear. Eight weeks later my fasting glucose was back in the normal range.

THE BITS PEOPLE ACTUALLY ASK

Real questions, honest answers.

Is this a medical treatment for pre-diabetes or type 2?

No. We are a food and education program, not a medical service. The 8-Week Program is built around the dietary pattern that decades of research show is effective for blood-sugar stability — but it sits alongside, not instead of, your medical care.

I'm on metformin. Can I do this?

Generally yes, but please tell your GP before you start. As blood sugar stabilises, your dose may need to come down — a good problem to have, but a medical conversation.

Is this keto / low-carb?

No. It's a structured real-food pattern with whole-food carbs in appropriate places. The DPP and Finnish trials used moderate-carb real-food patterns, not keto.

Do I have to lose weight for it to work?

Modest weight loss helps, but the dietary pattern improves insulin sensitivity even without significant weight loss.

Can I do this with type 2 diabetes?

The program is designed for the pre-diabetes window. If you have diagnosed type 2, please talk to your endocrinologist or diabetes educator first. Many members with type 2 have done the program successfully alongside their medical team — supervision matters.

How long until I'd expect to see changes in my blood markers?

We can't promise specific outcomes — they vary. Published research shows meaningful changes to fasting glucose and HbA1c typically appear within 8–12 weeks. Your GP can run the tests.

Will my family be able to eat this with me?

Yes — most members cook for at least one other person.

What's the refund policy?

14-day full refund, no questions asked.

This program is not a medical treatment. If you have pre-diabetes or diabetes, please coordinate with your GP, endocrinologist, diabetes educator or accredited practising dietitian before making significant dietary changes — especially if you are on insulin or other diabetes medication. Medication doses may need to be adjusted as blood sugar improves.
