Habits can be a tricky thing to change. And they often take time to do so. Studies show it can take 21-28 days to change a habit. Another study says it takes 66 days, but that it doesn’t matter if you lapse, as long as your intention is to continue. We feel that 66 days is more realistic, hence the 8-Week Program.
Quitting sugar isn’t an easy feat and you should all be really proud of yourselves for taking on this experiment. Also, know this: each day that we stay off sugar we’re creating new habits in our cells, our hormones and in our brains. If you do lapse, don’t punish yourself – simply keep your intention on track and push forward.
